[Carfreeliving] Will LA leapfrog San Francisco?

Yeah, the intermittent Market St. bike lanes (which run past MTA HQ) 
are embarrassing and discouraging -- between cyclist resignation and 
vacation distractions the SFBC "AMBLE" effort hasn't gotten much 
traction yet, even at that I don't know how much a volunteer army can 
do -- we need a serious commitment from the city/county side to 
giving Market Street proper bike space, surface quality and 
enforcement. I hear Chris Daly was talking tough about withholding TA 
resources from Muni till they start playing along with Market Street 
Plan implementation, I'd say general squeezing on MTA for Market St 
action is needed on all fronts, please share your bright ideas . . .
