[Carfreeliving] Want to House a Bicycle or Pedestrian Activist

Hi folks,

I'm hosting a training for bicycle and pedestrian activists the end 
of this month, Oct. 21-23.

Some of the trainees will need places to stay, Fri. Oct. 21- Sat. 
Oct. 22 at a minimum. If you have a guest room, guest couch, or guest 
section of floor you could offer, or could potentially offer, please 
contact me in the next couple of days so I can start assigning folks 
to homestays.

You might have seen the blurb advertising the training -- it's an 
intensive 19-hour training starting Friday evening going until Sunday 
afternoon. It's basic community organizing training, customized for 
bicycle and pedestrian advocacy organizations. Our intention is to 
have a hundred groups as effective as the SFBC around the country, 
and to make the SFBC and other bay area groups more effective through 
the development of campaign leadership skills among the members -- 
think a dozen more Gillian Gilletts.   More details here:
