And yet politicians think that advocating increased fuel efficiency is
political suicide. Some disconnect. And what the hell is the 5% thinking?

While not "scientific" in statistics speak, this is interesting
nonetheless. Basically AAA members were asked how they were responding
to gas price increases. Many said they were driving less, walking more,
and supported expanding public transit. And opposed AAA lobbying to
