Today on Forum...

Newsom was being interviewed. An e-mailer essentially dialed
in with:  SF has 9 cars for each parking space. (Is this
true?)

Newsom chuckles, his car smiles, and he essentially talks
about how SF business is booming and how more parking is
needed. 

"If you build it they will come".

To his credit, he did use this same point to discuss Muni and
providing an alternative to singly occupied vehicles, but no
details were forthcoming on either point.

Newsom is on Forum fairly regularly. This could be a great
opportunity to get more carfreeliving voices heard by a broad
radio audience.

Keep your eyes out for opportunities to dial into Forum
discussions with Supes / Mayor / or other discussions around
transit-first, and get carfree folks on the same page so we
can e-mail and dial-in appropriately.
